CLAUDIA PÉREZ IÑESTA completed her piano, violoncello and dance studies in Spain, as well as postgraduate studies in piano chamber music at the HfM Detmold, and in French and German Liedgestaltung at the HfM Karlsruhe. She earned a Master's degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Barcelona, and since 2015 has been working towards a doctorate in this subject at the University of Potsdam.As a Lied pianist, interpreter of chamber music, and piano soloist, she has performed at renowned international festivals (Festival International de Granada and Zermatt Festival among others). She won First Prize at the “ Jeunesses Musicales Chamber Music Competition” just one of numerous piano and chamber music achievements. She has worked as a répétiteur for the vocal course at HfM Karlsruhe, and at the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra. Claudia Pérez Iñesta also creates her own projects and has been engaged several times as a pianist by ensembles such as Zafraan Ensemble, Dance Company Unterwegs Theater and Neopercusión. Collaborations with composers Jesús Torres, Joan Albert Amargos, Sergio Blardony, Jörg Widmann, Dimitri Papageorgiou, Charlotte Seither and Samir Odeh-Tamimi have led her to a special interest in new music. In 2019 she was invited to the Delian Festival and Academy for New Music in Mykonos (Greece) as guest and resident pianist. In 2019, she performed as harpsichordist and pianist at the festival “Cembalo und andere Tasten” at the Akademie der Künste Berlin. Having given various master classes in Latin America, Denmark and Germany, since 2015 she has been employed as a lecturer for “Cursodealbarracin” (Spain), a program for Interdisciplinary Arts, and established the seminar "Music and Literature" at the University of Potsdam in 2016. Claudia Pérez Iñesta lives in Berlin, where she combines her work as a pianist with writing. She was librettist for the opera L'Apocalypse arabe by Samir Odeh-Tamimi, which premiered in 2021 at the Festival International d'Art Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence with the Ensemble Modern and director Pierre Audi. Her second libretto Philoktet for Odeh-Tamimi's musical theatre composition was premiered at the Festival Éclat in Stuttgart in 2023 with the Neue Vocalsolisten and the Zafraan Ensemble. The next collaboration with Odeh-Tamimi, Troades, will be stage directed by Andrea Breth, and will premiere at the Frankfurt Opera.
CLAUDIA PÉREZ IÑESTA schloss ihr Klavier-, Violoncello- und Tanzstudium in Spanien, das der Klavierkammermusik an der HfM Detmold, sowie ein Studium der Liedgestaltung an der HfM Karlsruhe ab. An der Universität von Barcelona erwarb sie einen Master in Vergleichender Literaturwissenschaft und promoviert in diesem Fach seit 2015 an der Universität Potsdam.
Als Liedpianistin, Kammermusikinterpretin und Solopianistin ist sie bei renommierten internationalen Festivals aufgetreten (Festival International de Granada, Zermatt Festival... u. a. m.). Unter zahlreichen Klavier- und Kammermusikerfolgen errang sie den Ersten Preis des „Jeunesses Musicales“ Kammermusikwettbewerbs. Als Korrepetitorin war sie in der Gesangsklasse an der HfM Karlsruhe sowie am Theater und Orchester Heidelberg angestellt. Claudia Pérez Iñesta gestaltet eigene Projekte und wurde als Pianistin mehrfach von Ensembles wie Zafraan Ensemble, Dance Company Unterwegstheater oder Neopercusión angefragt. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Komponisten Jesús Torres, Joan Albert Amargos, Sergio Blardony, Jörg Widmann, Dimitri Papageorgiou, Charlotte Seither und Samir Odeh-Tamimi führte zu ihrer Auseinandersetzung mit der Neuen Musik. 2019 war sie beim Delian Festival and Academy for New Music auf Mykonos (Griechenland) als Gast und Residenz-Pianistin eingeladen. Beim Festival „Cembalo und andere Tasten“ an der Akademie der Künste Berlin hat sie 2019 als Cembalistin und Pianistin konzertiert. Nach verschiedenen Meisterkursen in Lateinamerika, Dänemark und Deutschland ist sie seit 2015 Dozentin des Kurses für Interdisziplinarität der Künste “Cursodealbarracin” (Spanien) und rief 2016 an der Universität Potsdam das Seminar „Musik und Literatur“ ins Leben. Claudia Pérez Iñesta lebt in Berlin, wo sie ihren Beruf als Pianistin mit dem Schreiben in Einklang bringt. Ihre Arbeit als Librettistin für die Oper L’Apocalypse arabe von Samir Odeh-Tamimi wurde 2021 beim Festival International d’Art Lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence mit dem Ensemble Modern und dem Regisseur Pierre Audi uraufgeführt. Ihr zweites Libretto Philoktet für Odeh-Tamimis Musiktheaterkomposition wurde 2023 beim Festival Éclat in Stuttgart mit den Neuen Vocalsolisten und dem Zafraan Ensemble uraufgeführt. Die nächste Zusammenarbeit mit Odeh-Tamimi, Die Troerinnen, wird in der Regie von Andrea Breth an der Oper Frankfurt uraufgeführt.
